District technology staff can provide minimal support with personal Apple ID’s

Personal Apple ID’s

The school district will distribute institutional purchased Apps to iPads and MacBooks through Apple’s Volume Purchase Program or VPP. Staff and high school students are allowed to purchase apps through Apples App store, but this will require a personal Apple ID.

Do not use your LansingLions or USD469 email for your personal Apple ID’s.

Purchasing Apps on District iPads

  1. Go to the App Store

2. Press the blue profile icon in the top right-hand corner.

3. Enter your personal Apple ID

You may have to sign out of your district provided managed Apple ID if it shows that account. Managed Apple ID’s cannot purchase services from the App Store.

4. Your account will now show Apps that you have purchased with your personal Apple ID and enable you to purchase new Apps through the Apple App Store.
