About Managed Apple IDs

Overview

Apple provides educational institutions a process to create managed Apple IDs to provide users access to educational tools and resources. The most prominent feature of managed Apple IDs is 200 GB of iCloud space which uses can backup or sync their Apple devices.

Requesting a Managed Apple ID

If you would like to request a Managed Apple ID please submit a ticket by emailing technology.request@usd469.netfrom your USD469.net e-mail.

Sign in with your Managed Apple ID

To sign in to devices that are set up with Apple School Manager, use your Managed Apple ID and password. To sign in to devices not set up with Apple School Manager, follow the steps for your role:

  • Students: Use your Managed Apple ID, password, and a six-digit verification code. Your school or administrator provides this code, which expires after one year.

  • Managers, instructors, or other staff members: Use your Managed Apple ID and password with two-factor authentication.

Reset your password

Unlike personal Apple IDs, your administrator resets your password. Follow these steps to create a new password:

  1. Contact your administrator to get a temporary password.

  2. Use your temporary password to sign in to Shared iPad or sign in to iCloud on your device. Or, if your role has access, sign in to Apple School Manager with your temporary password.

  3. Create a new password.
