About Managed Apple IDs
Overview
Apple provides educational institutions a process to create managed Apple IDs to provide users access to educational tools and resources. The most prominent feature of managed Apple IDs is 200 GB of iCloud space which uses can backup or sync their Apple devices.
Requesting a Managed Apple ID
If you would like to request a Managed Apple ID please submit a ticket by emailing technology.request@usd469.netfrom your USD469.net e-mail.
Sign in with your Managed Apple ID
To sign in to devices that are set up with Apple School Manager, use your Managed Apple ID and password. To sign in to devices not set up with Apple School Manager, follow the steps for your role:
Students: Use your Managed Apple ID, password, and a six-digit verification code. Your school or administrator provides this code, which expires after one year.
Managers, instructors, or other staff members: Use your Managed Apple ID and password with two-factor authentication.
Reset your password
Unlike personal Apple IDs, your administrator resets your password. Follow these steps to create a new password:
Contact your administrator to get a temporary password.
Use your temporary password to sign in to Shared iPad or sign in to iCloud on your device. Or, if your role has access, sign in to Apple School Manager with your temporary password.
Create a new password.

To maintain a focus on education, these services are disabled for Managed Apple IDs:
App Store purchasing
iTunes Store purchasing
Book Store purchasing
HomeKit connected devices
Apple Pay
Find My
iCloud Mail
iCloud Keychain (although, keychain items are saved and restored on Shared iPad devices)
iCloud Family Sharing
Game Center
Because Managed Apple IDs can't make purchases, administrators assign content to your Managed Apple ID or assigned devices.
Administrators can enable or disable the following services for Managed Apple IDs:
FaceTime
iMessage
Sharing photos and Pages, Numbers, and Keynote documents either within or outside your organization
Looking up other Managed Apple IDs within your organization
The ability to request a copy of the data associated with your Managed Apple ID
